    Too much is not enough?

I was in grid yesterday at the autocross in Tulsa next to a guy who just bought a '11 5.0 GT. Very nice car. Base cloth interior with the Brembo package. Under $30k, a steal as new cars go.

I love that a supercharger is a checkbox on a Ford invoice sheet ('merica, fuck yeah), but I can't help but think that you can build a home-brew forced induction setup for WAY less that $7,500.

You could, but it would void the warranty on your brand new car...and with high compression and boost a warranty would be nice

It's ratard expensive though, but interesting none the less

Kinda the same as the new Boss, sure it's nice but the price difference will make it better dollar wise to mod a GT. The catch is the warranty.

most maggie kits are around 6k brand new with all the components. of course the dealer is going to charge more, plus in order to have the warranty u have to fork out some more money for the dealer to install. but that still lands u with around a 40k car that puts out over 500 hp. and a person will be able to up the boost themselves beyond the 7 psi if they're feeling frisky

Very interesting. The Mustang and the BMW are so close, but I'd give the win to the Mustang for being so much cheaper.

Well, I HAVE been reading that the '11 5.0 Mustang is faster than just about any production GM product ever made, except maybe the C6 ZR1. With radial drags and K&N, I hear a new 5.0 could probably beat a ZR1 with the right launch, anyway. I know some guys swapping out LSx's for new 5.0's for reasons of improved price, power, reliability, weight, sound, and street/forum cred.
