well let the tuning begin. found out my TB stop screw was too tight and the AEM wasn't controlling the idle air control valve duty-cycle, the screw cracked the TB open enough to keep her idling at 800 rpms. i gott her idling again but not like a rock like it was. also found out why the speedo wasnt working in the gauge and AEM. gotta push the connector in all the way on the VSS sensor.

gonna order my Y-pipe since i got screwed out of the one that was sappose to come with the cut-out. would have done more tuning but i just dont have the time and laptop battery. starting to learn my way around the software better and better. i really love this thing!!!

Rebuilt the entire ignition map ; holy shot it runs so much better . I built it based off a well known Sr tuners tips he posted on freshalloy . She pulls really hard and so much more peppy in the mid- range. It's a night and day difference

well still working out the tune. there are so many fuel and ignition trims that modify the base fuel and ignition values. slowly figuring out everything. got her running good with decent a/f then found out that one of the trims was modifying my base map so i have to start all over lol. luckily i figured out the WO2 feedback setup so i can do some logs an then plug and chug the fuel map.

on a side note. i thought the motor was blown the other day. i was adjusting the idle and gave her a rev to see if it would re-settle to the target rpm value and she started miss-firing and sputtering but held the rpm to the target value. she was sputtering and mssing the whole way home . pulled the plugs and she had water on the plugs. turns out i still had some water in the tank from sitting for a couple years.

also did a compression check to see if she was seating good (also to see if i blew her up) . 142psi across the board cold and dry. Stock specs hot are sappose to be 152 psi. pretty good considering she only has about 30 miles on her.

I have been raping on her here an there as well. done shifts to 6000rpms, long revs to about 7000 rpms and so forth. not a hickup that isnt tuning related. she is running pig rich so she should be relatively safe from detenation. been watching logs to see if i get any hints of knock and nothing so far.

If you're running that rich, check your oil for gas cut. If it smells like fuel, change it before you spin a bearing

While I was doing the tuning on the suby last month I changed the oil twice due to fuel contamination

    well a little update.

finding time to get the tune settled. i feel comfortable with the tune and the engine to do 5-7 psi pulls to redline on the stock wastegate with a/f ratios in the 11's.

soon ill start experimenting with the boost controller. the idea is to run close to 100% duty cycle below the desired boost level to keep the wastegate closed during spool up instead of slowly opening. then have it snap open at the desired boost level and maintain that boost level steadily.

also been experiementing with anti-lag and different 2-step configurations to build boost on the line and with the clutch pushed in. still need to wire the clutch pedal to the ecu for the anti-lag.

this thing has been quite the learning experience. still learning the software. they keep coming up with updates that change the whole layout and i have to relearn where to find everything.
