Default Just here to get dirty

Wow, just realized how bad that title sounds...

Anyway, I'm Doug from St. Louis. Planning on coming to the RallyX this weekend since our season was ruined by the local track getting money hungry. I have an 03 Sonic Yellow WRX with more work done than I really want to list. Done all of it myself or with the help of friends. Let's just say it's got 300whp/280ft-lbs. I've had the car for the past 4 1/2 years and have 157k on it.

Little about me before the pictures... I'm just about 30, electrical engineer, machinist, and I'm opening my Subaru shop here called DVUS Motorsports, pronounced "devious." I'm a big fan of doing more with less, hence the reason I'm a fan of OpenSource tuning and gently used parts. I'm into cars, guns, and electronics. I am restoring a 63 Chrysler 300 Sport convertible, own an AR, .50cal pistol, and a couple miniature cannons (.375 and a .45) that I built because I was bored at work. I'm an extremely open person, ask any question you want but be forewarned, I'm blunt.

    Finally, the pictures
First, my WRX on the track.

And the only picture of the Chysler I have at the moment. It's kinda in pieces right now...

Oh, and I was last year's RallyX Rookie of the Year for the St. Louis region.

Hey Doug, good to see you stop in.

Given your interests, I think you would fit right in down in NWA.

That would be a good thing. My current customer base is starting to run dry after completing a large number of their cars. My current favorite is the 08 WRX with a full AVO turbo swap including the front mount. Still got the tuning side keeping me busy though.

No problem, just send me a PM with vehicle year and a full modification list. Obviously, the car needs to be mechanically sound before the tune. Check for vacuum, boost, and exhaust leaks. Those can cause some strange numbers to show up in the logs.
